Triniti Vanoven

OVERVIEW
Triniti Vanoven, a second-year Ph.D. student, is conducting research in the Pence Lab under the guidance of Dr. Isaac Pence. Triniti’s current research focuses on utilizing optical technologies to characterize pelvic organ prolapse, working in collaboration with the Biomechanics of Growth and Remodeling (BG&R) to develop a noninvasive tool that can correlate optical biomarkers and tissue mechanics.
Triniti completed her B.S. at the University of Texas at Dallas and has achieved recognition for her work, including being awarded the ASLMS A. Ward Ford Research Grant in 2023 and winning the Johnson School’s Best TA Award in 2024.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Triniti holds a leadership position as the communications chair in the UT Southwestern Biomedical Engineering Society Chapter. In her free time, she enjoys indulging in her love for cats and playing video games.
