HASSAN JAHANANDISH
OVERVIEW
Fourth year PhD student and graduate researcher Hassan Jahanandish works in the Ultrasound Imaging and Therapy Laboratory. His research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, medical imaging, and robotics to enhance human mobility. Prior to joining UT Dallas, Hassan completed his undergraduate training in Mechanical Engineering at Shiraz University (2015). Hassan is particularly interested in human-machine integration using artificial intelligence for rehabilitation robotics and bionic prosthetics. Hassan was a recipient of the Jonsson Family Graduate Fellowship in Bioengineering (2018-2019), the Doctoral Dissertation Research Award (2020-2021), and a finalist for the RehabWeek paper award (2019). Most recently, he has spent time at Nokia Bell Labs as a research intern (2021). Hassan currently serves as an ambassador for the Department of Bioengineering, where he is excited to meet prospective students.
