BIANCA DAVID

OVERVIEW
Bianca David is a 2nd-year Ph.D. student working in Dr. Shalini Prasad’s lab at the Biomedical Microdevices and Nanotechnology Laboratory (BMNL). Her research is dedicated to developing a point-of-care biosensor for the early detection of inflammatory biomarkers for disease diagnostic purposes.
Bianca completed her undergraduate studies, earning a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, and later obtained her master’s degree in BMEN from UTD in December 2023.
Currently serving as the treasurer of the Alpha Eta Mu Beta (AEMB) BMEN Honors Society, Bianca also mentors numerous undergraduate researchers in her lab working under her project. Her passion for exploration and sharing experiences extends to trying new foods, tasting different coffees, and appreciating nature. As a proud advocate for BMEN and the UTD community, she is always eager to share and receive recommendations.
