Overview
Dr. Kathleen Myers joined the Department of Bioengineering at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2015. She is now an associate professor of instruction in bioengineering.
Prior to joining the department, Myers interned at Geon Corp. and Ethicon Inc. conducting polymer research. After obtaining her doctorate, Myers worked as a research engineer in the Neurological Biomaterials and Cancer Therapeutics Lab at Georgia Tech. She also served as manager of the in vivo microCT imaging core facility and taught Problems in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
Dr. Myers currently teaches Introduction to Bioengineering I and II and Probability Theory and Statistics for Biomedical Engineering.
Research Interests
Myers’ research experience is in the development of nanoparticles for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. Her passion is teaching, and she takes pride in seeing her students succeed in the classroom and in their future endeavors.
