Overview

Dr. Eric Meyers holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. He has spent his career developing technology to enhance recovery after injury to the nervous system. He was recently a Principal Biomedical Engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio, and was a Principal Investigator in the Neurotechnology group, where he developed closed-loop technology to restore hand function for individuals living with stroke and spinal cord injury. Dr. Meyers’ research expertise includes closed-loop neurorehabilitation, neuromodulation to support plasticity in the injured nervous system, biomarker discovery, and bioelectronic medicine. He has published in high-impact journals, including Nature Communications, Stroke, and Science Advances.
