OVERVIEW

Fifth-year PhD student Jeremy Warren works in the Vascular Mechanobiology lab (VMBL) under the guidance of Dr. Heather Hayenga, where he focuses on predictive models of plaque growth in coronary artery disease.

Jeremy earned his B.S. at UT Dallas in 2019 and has been recognized with multiple grants for his research, including the LSAMP fellowship, UTD Convergence grants for ’22 & ’23, and a Dissertation research grant for ’23. He has also achieved 1st place in the 3MT competition for ’23 & ’24 and has presented his work at domestic and international conferences.

In addition to actively pursuing his Ph.D., Jeremy holds several leadership roles, including serving as a TA for BMEN 3325, Co-chair for the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Bioengineering division (BED) student-led committee (SLC), and Co-president for the  UTD Biomedical Engineering Graduate Student Assembly..

Jeremy enjoys playing basketball outside the lab, building and creating activities, and sharing his passion for turtles.
