“Dr. Shihab earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2021. Prior to his current position at the University of Texas at Dallas, he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), where he also gained teaching experience.

In his current role, Dr. Shihab is responsible for instructing courses such as Advanced Engineering Mathematics, and Introduction to Biomedical Engineering Computing.

Dr. Shihab’s research interests encompass a diverse range of topics, including:

  • Nanomaterial characterization
  • Atomic force microscopy
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Photobiomodulation

His multidisciplinary approach combines expertise in engineering and biomedical sciences to address complex research challenges.”
